Lateral Thinking Riddles for Kids: Six Riddles and Yes/No Mystery Cards
Children think sideways. Six riddles have obvious answers that are traps, and upside-down hint strips help when stuck. Two yes-or-no mystery cards let a family play detective by asking only closed questions. Children write a lateral riddle of their own.

Read each riddle, think of the obvious answer, then ask 'what else could it mean?' For the mystery game, one person reads a card and the others ask yes or no questions. Check the answer upside-down on the card.
