How to use this worksheet
Look at the three mandaps together and talk about their different sizes — large, medium, and small. Have your child cut out the decoration pictures at the bottom of the page, then hold each one up and decide which mandap it matches in size. Once they've made their choice, they can glue the item under its correctly sized mandap. Review the finished page together, asking your child to explain why each item was sorted where it was.

Tips for parents and teachers
Encourage the child to verbalize the size differences, for example saying 'this Ganesha is big, so it goes under the large mandap,' since explaining their reasoning strengthens the underlying concept. If two items are close in size, help your child compare them directly side by side rather than guessing. This worksheet works well alongside a conversation about the specific festival it depicts, adding cultural context to the math skill.
