Children meet the case of the vanished golden crown and see how a mystery is solved one clue at a time. They set up a case board with 20 letter boxes, make a cut-out detective badge with their own thumbprint, and learn three detective rules: look closely, check every clue, and say why.

How to use this worksheet
Read the case aloud together. After each puzzle page, your child copies that page's clue letter from the magnifier badge into its box on the case board. Cut out the badge and tape it to a jumper. Keep this page beside the pack so it stays handy.
