Matchstick Puzzles for Kids: Fix the Sum and Move the Sticks
Children look at a problem in a new way. Wrong sums are drawn with sticks and moving one stick fixes each. A fence of three squares must be changed to two squares, and a six-stick teaser asks for four triangles. Children test ideas with real sticks.

How to use this worksheet
Use craft sticks or cotton buds, never real matches. Make the sum on the table, move one stick, and draw the fixed sum in the boxes. Then try the square fence and the six-stick teaser.
