Critical Thinking Worksheets for Ages 7-8: Puzzle Detectives Logic Puzzle Pack

Puzzle Detectives is a 24-page critical thinking activity book for children aged 7 to 8. A mystery runs through it: the golden crown has vanished from the Puzzleton Toy Museum. Every puzzle page hides one clue letter, and children collect all 20 on a case board to crack the message and solve the case.

Inside are 20 puzzle pages in three levels (warm-up, challenge and expert): odd one out with reasons, what comes next, picture and number Sudoku, a suspect line-up, logic grids, analogies, Venn and Carroll diagrams, balance scales, number cages, riddles, true-or-false evidence checks, fact or opinion and fair tests, matchstick puzzles and a picture-reveal nonogram. Every logic puzzle has exactly one answer, checked before printing.

Nine hero pages are made to be played, not just written on. Cut out a working code wheel and read the thief's notes, rebuild tangram silhouettes, run a mystery hunt at home, play a 20-questions game with 16 cut-out suspect cards, or escape the museum at night by solving four locks. Parents get a 'why it helps' line and a 'try at home' idea on every puzzle page.

The pack opens with a cover with a contents list, a case board and a detective badge, and ends with a Case Closed certificate and a full answer key with short explanations.
