Children cut out the seven classic tangram pieces and use them to rebuild four silhouettes drawn at the same scale, including one with the inside lines shown to help. They learn to turn, flip and slide shapes in their head, then invent a tangram picture of their own.

How to use this worksheet
Cut along the dashed lines and keep the pieces in an envelope. Lay the pieces on a silhouette, using every piece with no gaps and no overlaps. Start with the easiest, then try the harder ones. The parallelogram can be flipped.
