Children ages 3-5 build fine motor control and creative decision-making as they cut out band shapes, decorate them, and paste on decorative elements to design their own friendship band or rakhi. Choosing and arranging decorations independently also introduces early design thinking — planning how individual pieces come together into a finished object.

How to use this worksheet
Have your child cut out the band shape and the smaller decorative pieces along the printed lines. Let them arrange the decorations on the band before gluing anything down, so they can plan the design first. Once they're happy with the layout, help them glue each piece into place and allow time to dry. Finish by wearing the band or giving it to a friend or sibling as a gift.
