Scarecrow Labeling Worksheet for Preschoolers
This worksheet has children ages 3-5 color a scarecrow, then cut out word labels for its parts, hat, straw, shirt, gloves, and glue each label onto the correct spot, connecting written words directly to the objects they name. Tracing the labels afterward adds letter-formation practice on top of the vocabulary-building label matching.

How to use this worksheet
Offer crayons first and let your child color the scarecrow picture, naming each part as they go. Once colored, help them cut out the individual word labels along their edges. Look at each label together, sound out the word, and decide which part of the scarecrow it names before gluing it into the correct spot. Finally, have your child trace over each glued-down label with a pencil to reinforce letter formation.

- 2Read a book about scarecrows or autumn on the farm.
- 3Go on a nature walk and look for real straw, hay, or fall items.

- 5Play a game pointing to a scarecrow part and racing to say its name.
