Frog Life Cycle Cut and Paste Worksheet for Preschoolers
Children ages 3-5 learn the four stages of a frog's life cycle — egg, tadpole, froglet, and adult frog — while practicing sequencing and precise pasting skills. This worksheet is especially useful for illustrating dramatic physical change, since a tadpole looks almost nothing like an adult frog, which helps children grasp that growth can transform an animal significantly.

How to use this worksheet
Look at the pictures together and talk about how different a tadpole looks compared to a full-grown frog. Have your child cut out the pictures at the bottom of the page and match each one to its correct box based on the life cycle stage. Guide them to paste each picture into place, checking that the sequence from egg to adult frog makes sense. Review the finished page together, tracing the frog's transformation from start to finish.
Materials needed
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pencil
Extension activities
- 1Draw your own frog life cycle, exaggerating how different the tadpole looks from the adult frog.
- 2Read a book about frogs and their life cycle, pausing to point out each stage.
- 3Create a frog life cycle diorama using a shoebox, blue paper for water, and small craft frogs.
- 4Visit a pond and look for tadpoles or frog eggs during the right season.
- 5Act out the frog's growth as a movement game — wiggle as a tadpole, then hop as a frog.

These flashcards introduce children ages 3-5 to the four stages of a ladybug's life, egg, larva, pupa, and adult, helping them understand that insects can look completely different at each stage of growth, which is a striking and memorable science concept for this age. Sequencing the cards also builds early ordering skills as children learn that growth happens in a fixed, repeatable pattern.

Ages 3-5 · Preschool–Pre-KAges 3-5 · Nursery–ReceptionAges 3-5 · Nursery–LKGAges 3-5
Children ages 3-5 explore the stages of human growth — baby, child, teenager, and adult — by building a hands-on circular lifecycle book. This worksheet has children ages 3-5 cut out circular images representing a chicken's life stages, egg, chick, and adult hen or rooster, and glue them in the correct growing order, building sequencing skills alongside scissor and gluing practice. Working with round shapes specifically also gives children extra scissor practice on curves, which are trickier to cut than straight lines.
Lifecycle Circle Book: Cut & Paste Activity for Young Learners
Ages 3-5 · Preschool–Pre-KAges 3-5 · Nursery–ReceptionAges 3-5 · Nursery–LKGAges 3-5
This activity has children ages 3-5 cut out circular pages and assemble them into a small 'circle book' that flips through different animals' life cycles, combining fine motor cutting and gluing with the concept that a book can hold information in sequence. Matching each animal to its correct life stage across several circles also reinforces the idea that different animals go through different growth patterns.
