Like an Animal: Fun Movement Activity Worksheet for Kids

How to use this worksheet
Look at the first animal picture together and read or say its name out loud. Ask your child how they think that animal moves before demonstrating it yourself as an example. Have your child act out the movement across the room or in place, then mark or check off that animal on the page once they've completed the action. Move through each animal on the worksheet one at a time rather than rushing through several at once.

- 1Play animal freeze dance, moving like each animal until the music stops and freezing in place.
- 2Set up a simple obstacle course where each section requires a different animal movement to cross it.
- 3Take turns with a sibling or friend acting out an animal movement for the other to guess.
- 4Watch a short video of a real animal moving and compare it to how your child acted it out.
- 5Create an animal movement relay race in the backyard or a large room, taking turns moving like different animals.
