CCVC Digraphs Worksheet: Read and Match the Pictures!
This worksheet teaches children ages 4-5 to recognize consonant digraphs — two letters like 'ch', 'sh', and 'th' that combine to make one new sound — within CCVC-style words, then match each word to its picture. How to use this worksheet
Read each word together, pointing out the digraph at the beginning and reminding your child that 'ch', 'sh', or 'th' makes just one sound, not two. Have them sound out the rest of the word and say it aloud as a whole. Ask your child to scan the pictures and find the one that matches, then draw a line connecting the word to its picture. After finishing, go back and have your child sort the words by which digraph they start with.
