How to use this worksheet
Have your child color each family member's face using whatever colors they like for hair, skin, and clothing. Once colored, help them carefully cut out each face along its outline. Attach each face to the top of an ice-cream stick using glue or tape to create a simple puppet. Once all the puppets are made, encourage your child to hold them up one at a time and tell a short story or rhyme about that family member.

Extension activities
- 1Create a family tree together, adding photos or drawings of each relative.
- 2Have your child draw their own additional family members not included on the worksheet, like grandparents or pets.

- 4Ask your child to describe one thing they love about each family member as they hold up that puppet.
- 5Put on a short puppet show for another family member using the finished characters.
