How to use this worksheet
Look at the first picture and word together, and say the word aloud slowly, listening closely to its very first sound. Ask your child whether that sound is a vowel sound (a, e, i, o, u) or a consonant sound, which will determine whether 'a' or 'an' is correct. Have them write the correct article in the blank space before the word. Continue through each picture and word on the page, reading the completed phrase aloud each time to check that it sounds right.
