This worksheet has preschoolers ages 3-5 practice one-to-one correspondence — touching or pointing to each object exactly once while counting — before writing the total and matching it to the correct numeral in a circle. How to use this worksheet
Look at the first box of objects together and count them aloud slowly, pointing to each one as you say its number. Have your child write the total count in the blank space provided. Move to the matching section, where they'll find the circle containing the same number and draw a line connecting it to their count. Repeat this process for each box of objects, encouraging your child to count independently as they build confidence.
