How to use this worksheet
Look at the three letter headings — F, G, and H — together and practice saying the sound each letter makes. Have your child cut out the picture cards from the bottom of the page using child-safe scissors. For each picture, say its name slowly together and listen for the very first sound before deciding which letter box it belongs under. Once every picture has been sorted correctly, glue each one into its matching letter column.

Tips for parents and teachers
Encourage the child to say the name of each picture before they glue it to reinforce the beginning sound, rather than sorting by sight alone. Provide assistance with cutting if needed, especially with smaller picture cards that can be fiddly. If F, G, and H sounds get confused, exaggerate the mouth shape for each sound so your child can see as well as hear the difference.
