Feelings Worksheet: Happy or Sad?
Children ages 3-5 build emotional vocabulary and self-awareness as they decide whether different everyday situations would make them feel happy or sad. Naming and sorting emotions based on a scenario is an early social-emotional skill that helps children recognize and eventually talk about their own feelings more clearly.

How to use this worksheet
Look at the first picture together and ask your child to imagine how they would feel in that situation. If it makes them feel happy, have them color the happy face; if it makes them feel sad, have them color the sad face. Move through each remaining picture the same way, pausing to talk about why they chose that feeling. When finished, review the page and ask if any situations were tricky to decide.
