I Spy Spring Worksheet: Count and Write!
Spotting and tallying spring-themed pictures, like flowers, bees, or raindrops, gives children ages 3-5 practice with one-to-one counting and then translating that count into a written numeral. Because the items are scattered across the page rather than lined up neatly, children also build visual scanning skills as they search each section carefully before counting. Writing the final number afterward connects the physical act of counting to abstract number symbols, a key early numeracy milestone.

How to use this worksheet
Look at the first group of spring pictures together and have your child point to and count each item out loud, one at a time. Once they reach a total, help them find the matching numeral and write it in the box beside that picture group. Move to the next section of the page and repeat the process, encouraging your child to count independently before you check their answer together. When the page is finished, review all the numbers written and talk about which spring item appeared the most or the least.
