This worksheet links three number skills together for 4-6 year olds: tracing dotted numerals for handwriting practice, counting a row of fruit for quantity, and then checking that the fruit count actually matches the traced number — a self-checking loop that reinforces number-to-quantity correspondence rather than treating tracing and counting as separate tasks. How to use this worksheet
Have your child trace the dotted number at the top of the first row, saying the number name aloud as they trace. Ask them to count the fruits in that row one at a time, touching each piece as they count. Check together whether the fruit count matches the number they just traced. Once confirmed, let them color the fruits, then move to the next row and repeat.
