Human Life Cycle Stages Worksheet for Kids

This worksheet helps children ages 4-6 understand that people, like animals, grow and change over time by matching pictures to the stages of human development — baby, child, teenager, and adult. It introduces early classification and comparison skills while giving children a concrete way to talk about growth they can observe in their own family.

Curriculum

Living Things - Animals > Human Life Cycle

How to use this worksheet

Talk with your child about the people in their own life who represent each stage — perhaps a baby cousin, an older sibling, a parent, and a grandparent. Have them cut out the pictures at the bottom of the worksheet and match each one to its correct box based on age and appearance. Ask them to explain their choices as they glue each picture down. Once complete, review the sequence together from baby to adult.

Materials needed

  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil

Extension activities

  • •Look through family photos and sort them by which life stage each person is in.
  • •Measure your child against a growth chart and talk about how their height has changed since they were a baby.
  • •Draw a self-portrait of what they think they'll look like as a teenager or adult.
  • •Interview a grandparent or older relative about what they remember from being a child.
  • •Create a simple family tree showing people at different life stages.

Tips for parents and teachers

Children this age are naturally curious about growing up, so use this worksheet as a springboard for conversation about their own development. If a stage like 'teenager' feels abstract, connect it to an older cousin or family friend they know. Reassure them that growing up takes many years, since young children sometimes worry about change happening too fast.

Clothing Pattern Match Worksheet for Preschoolers

PatternsMatching

This worksheet has children ages 3-5 study repeating patterns on clothing items — stripes, polka dots, or checks — and match each item to its identical twin, building visual discrimination and early pattern-sequencing skills. Distinguishing between similar-looking patterns also sharpens attention to detail, a skill that later supports letter and word recognition.
