Mouse and Modaks Matching Worksheet for Preschoolers
Children ages 3-5 practice visual discrimination and size comparison by matching Ganesha's mouse companion to modaks (sweet dumplings) of the same relative size, while learning about a figure from the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Comparing sizes side by side builds the pre-math skill of ordering and estimating relative size, a precursor to measurement concepts.

How to use this worksheet
Before cutting, look at the mice and modaks together and talk about which ones look big, medium, or small. Have your child cut out the mouse pictures and hold each one next to the modaks to decide which size matches. Once they've found the correct pair, they can glue the mouse next to its matching modak. Finish by asking your child to describe the sizes aloud using words like 'big' and 'small.'
