How to use this worksheet
Have your child trace the dotted number word for sixteen first, saying the word aloud slowly as they trace each letter. Once traced, have them write the number name independently in the space provided. Continue the same trace-then-write process for seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, and twenty, checking each completed word together before moving to the next. Finish by reading all five number words aloud together in order.

Tips for parents and teachers
Encourage the child to say the number word as they trace and write, since these longer words are easier to spell correctly when the sounds are said aloud in sync with the letters. Provide positive reinforcement for correct answers, and don't worry if letter formation is still uneven at this stage, since tracing longer words is genuinely more demanding than single-digit numbers. If your child mixes up 'teen' endings, like writing 'sixteen' as 'sixty,' point out the different sound at the end of each word.
