How to use this worksheet
Look at each picture together and say its name slowly, stretching out the vowel sound. Ask your child whether they hear the quick, short 'i' or the longer 'i' that says its own name. Have them draw a line or write the picture under the correct heading — 'Long Vowel i' or 'Short Vowel i'. Once finished, go back through both columns and read every word aloud as a final check.
