Family Words Cut and Paste Worksheet for Early Readers

How to use this worksheet
Read the first word aloud slowly together, sounding out each letter before blending them into the full word. Ask your child to look at the picture options and decide which one matches what the word means. Have them draw a line connecting the word to its correct matching picture. Continue this sound-out-and-match process for each remaining word, then read through all the finished word-and-picture pairs together as a final review.

- 2Have your child use one of the CVC words from the worksheet in a simple spoken sentence.

- 5Create a simple rhyme using two or three of the CVC words practiced on the worksheet.
