Read and Learn 'tr' Blend Words Worksheet for Preschoolers
This worksheet gives children ages 3-5 practice reading and recognizing words that begin with the 'tr' consonant blend, like 'tree' and 'truck', by circling matching words from a list. Blending two consonant sounds together at the start of a word is a genuine reading challenge, and repeated practice with one specific blend builds the muscle memory needed to eventually recognize it instantly in new words.

How to use this worksheet
Read each 'tr' blend word together first, sounding out the 't' and 'r' sounds blended together before saying the rest of the word. Look through the word list provided and have your child circle every word that contains the 'tr' blend. Once circled, reread each word aloud together as a final check.

- 2Write a couple of simple sentences together using 'tr' blend words, like 'The truck is under the tree.'
