How to use this worksheet
Look at the first group of candies together and count them aloud to find the starting total. Read the subtraction instruction — how many should be taken away — and have your child cross out or mentally remove that many candies from the group. Count what's left and write that number in the space provided as the answer. Repeat this process for each subtraction problem on the page, encouraging your child to recount rather than guess.
