Trace the Mixed Lines Worksheet: Help the Animals Find Their Babies!
This worksheet combines straight, curved, and zigzag lines on a single page, asking children ages 3-5 to trace whichever type of path connects each animal to its baby. How to use this worksheet
Look at each animal and ask your child if they know what its baby is called before tracing. Guide their pencil along the path connecting the two, noticing out loud whether the line is straight, curvy, or zigzagged so they can adjust their grip and motion accordingly. Let them finish one full path before starting the next rather than jumping between several lines at once. Color the animal families together once every path is complete.
