How to use this worksheet
Start by having your child color the word 'the' at the top of the page, saying the word aloud as they color. Next, have them trace over the dotted letters several times, saying the word each time they trace it. Then ask them to search the letter grid and highlight every instance of the word 'the' they can find. Finally, help them read the sentences with blanks and fill in the missing word 'the' in each one.
